Olivia's Savannah, GA Travel Guide

One of the best parts of going to school in Statesboro is being able to visit one of my FAVORITE towns almost every weekend. It's quaint, historical and needs to be added to everyone's bucket list. I've been fortunate enough to be able to visit this beautiful town so many times I thought I'd share my super short travel guide for a jam-packed day in Savannah, GA...

WHERE TO EAT:

B&D Burgers is a must when in Savannah. It's a casual burger joint on Broughton street that serves anything from queso gator dip, which is to die for might I add, to a loaded BLT. The atmosphere is energetic and it has massive television screens at all corners so, it's the perfect place to watch a big game.

Below Zero is a rolled ice cream shop that is the place to go if you are feeling real trendy. It's located in a combined restaurant that has seafood located on one side of the building and rolled ice cream on the other. It's strange, I know. But, the ice cream is amazing AND in rolled form. Who can pass that up?

River Street Sweets is a Savannah staple. This cute shop is a candy lover's dream. They have candy apples, chocolate covered Oreos, lollipops etc. Anything you can name, they have. It should be illegal to visit Savannah and not stop here.

WHERE TO VISIT:

SCAD Museum of Art is such a beautiful museum you can't pass off the opportunity to visit it. It's the perfect place to enjoy other's art and get your own creative juice flowing. Here is the link to the website to check out hours and more details about the venue.

Chippewa Square is the perfect place to go if you love beautiful scenery....and Forest Gump. A scene from the movie was filmed in Savannah in this square so if you are a superfan, go check it out.

WHERE TO SHOP:

River Street is the most beautiful part of Savannah. It's a strip of shops that are located right on the water. These shops sell handmade purses, Savannah souvenirs, handmade jewelry, etc. Definitely where all the tourists stop by when they visit, AKA me every weekend.

Broughton Street is where my credit card maxes out every time. It has H&M, Dress Up, Forever 21, Victoria Secret and tons of other places you can stop by.

I hope you enjoy your trip to Savannah! If you tried out any of these places and loved them let me know in the comments below. Also, if it's not listed, let me know your favorite place to visit when you are in Savannah. Thanks so much for reading! See you all next week.

XOXO,

Olivia Shea
